The title is probably what draws people in first---songs of this nature tend to strike a cord with little people (especially boys!) because it gives them permission to talk about something they're usually encouraged not to😊 Also, the nature of the song--call and response, straightforward, but just a little bit silly, encourages a way to have a relational, musical conversation about an undesirable behavior that doesn't isolate anyone, but addresses it straight on. Not just what to fix, but how to fix it. It also inspires one to think about how to use a song like this, (or perhaps this one---adding verses!) to address other things like....saying excuse me when you belch, covering your sneeze, or cough...etc.
