In a post for “paid subscribers only” I outlined a series of activities I use on the first day of class with the primary goal of helping children establish the ability to find and navigate space. Many Dalcrozian activities are not performed in a circle, or in a “sit spot,” or with the typical boundaries you might find in other classrooms. The children must be able to share space safely, walking their own path while aware of the larger ensemble of movers. The response to this post was encouraging and people requested some tools to help them execute this activity.
