Folks… honestly the TEAMM meetings lately have been SUCH a great vibe. We’re really building a strong community of support for teachers who want to bring more of this embodied experience into their classrooms. MusicXT is not the kind of approach that can be distilled down into a single resource, into a downloadable PDF format. There isn’t a “quick fix” for this style of teaching… swimming in the deep waters of the TEAMM is the best way to access these ideas. I do my best to create resources that are accessible to every teacher, but ultimately when you’re ready to embrace movement as your primary means of expression, just join the TEAMM and start absorbing as much as you can. In this post I’ll share the FULL VIDEO from our last meeting, which was bursting with amazing conversation and ideas. But first…

Housekeeping:

On Nov 18th we’ll be meeting to talk about how this approach creates young musicians who are vibrant and expressive in their performance. We’ll be talking about strategies for inviting students to embrace their own connections to music, making it relevant, and engaging with a lifelong practice. If you aren’t yet on the TEAMM, I suggest you upgrade now to get in on this meeting!

What are you waiting for? Join our community and start bringing this kind of powerful approach to your students today!

Just say "YES!"

This lesson is referenced in the video below... and I just noticed that it has SIGNIFICANTLY less views than most of my posts. If you haven't checked this out, I recommend you backtrack and watch the videos to get caught up. The beanbag passing game outlined in this post is CRITICAL! The philosophy discussed here is also relevant to the upcoming TEAMM meeting... so don't miss it!

If you’ve been following my work for a while, you have heard me talk about my experiment to completely eliminate numbers from my practice. This might sound extreme, and maybe it is, but I have good reasons for undertaking this bizarre mission. In this video I get into great detail as to WHY and HOW I took on this experiment and what I was able to learn from it.
